This topic would be more apt to describe human behavior.
Here are some quotes I picked to reflect on us as humans.

It is the nature of mortals to kick a fallen man.  ~Aeschylus, Agamemnon

In nature a repulsive caterpillar turns into a lovely butterfly.
But with humans it is the other way around:  a lovely butterfly turns into a repulsive caterpillar.  ~Anton Chekhov

There are too many people, and too few human beings.  ~Robert Zend

Only on paper has humanity yet achieved glory, beauty, truth, knowledge, virtue, and abiding love.  ~George Bernard Shaw

coincidently this human happened to be another policeman.

hopefully the newly appointed Inspector General of Police reform this ill-fated police department.

The ceremony was followed by the traditional beating to death of a disabled person by members of the Police Honor Guard

No guys - it's not meant to be funny. Just hope that a responsible SL Policeman will read this and start thinking

Throwing stones at trains is a poor choice of hobbies - it's dangerous to the occupants of the train and as it turns out,  the stone-thrower as well. I can understand the rage on the one side - esp. if you have been hot in the head by a rock - but cops joining in the fun is a no-no. I hope they get long prison sentences for what is apparently murder.

There was a program on violence on Hispanic migrants in USA and one guy was beaten to death.  During the trial, the view of pro-USA people was it was an unfortunate incident involving someone was at the wrong place and wrong time meaning immigrants are not suppose to be on US soil.  The criminals were released after a trial and there are now investigations of possible judicial misconduct.

A year or two back, police in Canada repeatedly tasered a new arrival from Poland, to death - so far the cops have suffered no ill effects and one has even started to sue the media for portraying him in a "bad light"
Abuse of Power by the guardians is not uncommon
neither is letting them off the hook, it seems..

The Sri Lankan Police are one of most repulsive, disgusting, rotten, dishonest, repugnant, stinking, murdering, treacherous, power hungry, slimy, despicable set of human beings on the planet.

I echo this and Romeo's view, sans nationalities.
It's a global thing.. the u.s cops pumping bullets into
innocent blacks at times.. the bad apples are all around.
Indian police have generated a lot of disenchantment and mass disgust,
achieving stellar highs in corruption and cruelty.
Honest cops are transferred for being a 'nuisance' in the police system.

At the end of the day, many of these cops are underpaid and frustrated folks
with lot of power in their hand, and in most of third world, with very less accountability
in the system.
