Post No for Eelam, India tells Norway
asiantribune.com,  Wed Jun 22 06:57:23 EDT 2005
India has strongly emphasized to Norway its opposition to a separate Tamil state in Sri Lanka. India’s Minister of External Affairs, Natwar Singh during his talks with Foreign Minister Jan Petersen in Oslo reiterated India’s commitment to unity and territorial integrity of Sri Lanka.

Norwegian media reported that Singh ‘drew a sharp border against the thought about a Tamil state’. “India is against Eelam” Singh told NRK, Norway’s popular television service. Eelam is the Tamil term for “native country”. “However, all ethnic groups have to get the same possibilities of course,” the NRK reported.

“India is Sri Lanka’s great neighbor and has earlier been strongly engaged to get a peace solution. It is generally accepted that there will be no solution in Sri Lanka unless India accepts it,” NRK commented in its report on Singh’s visit to Norway. “India has a large Tamil population in the Southern state Tamil Nadu and fears that an independent Tamil state in Sri Lanka may result in demand for the same in India.”

Here is a nice one from Asiantribune. Another Karuna cheer leader.
India will always be against a seperate state for tamils because it will create problems with their 60million tamils in tamilnadu. It is understandable. 1960s saw C.N.Annadurai demanding a seperate state. They are worried that similar sentiments will rise again if tamils in Sri Lanka achieve Eelam. India also demands that all people of Sri lanka are treated equally (note:This is not the headline in the Asiantribune article). This is never going to happen. 57 years have seen deterioration in race relations because of the sinhala, buddhist view that the country belong to them and they be given pride of place. This is no recipe for peaceful co-existence. In India federal systen works. Minorities have no such problems as we have in Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka there is a fear that everything will turn into seperate state. It may take some time but India will soon realise that Sri Lanka will never change because political power sits with those who kick the minorities harder.

Eelam, we have a problem.  Can't find a none-hostile land.  Shall we try Toronto, Canada?

Northeast of Sri Lanka suits us fine. Thank you. We could do with a bit of upcountry (where the tamils are) as well.
Hope you don't mind. You generous chappie!!

Asian Tribune best comedian in recent years....hahhaahha
But everyone knows India is not supportive for separate state. But it trained and provided arms to LTTE knwoign that
LTTE fighting for separate state. That is the big joke. Then they made their own agreement with cunning JR without
any tamil party signing the gareement. Finally learned from LTTE and lost its leader. Better you keep away India.

Post Eelam and LTTE Jokes
"What is eelam? Please define."

6' under.  So far over 10,000 Tamils in Eelam now, thanks to LTTE.

“But it trained and provided arms to LTTE knwoign that
LTTE fighting for separate state. That is the big joke”

It is a big joke for normal people.  This is how you keep Sri Lanka under dark as a country.  In the Global market, it is everyone’s advantage if we are not participating.  The short sighted war has created all of us in the dark for the next century.

Another big joke:  Killing of Tamils and claiming LTTE is fighting for Tamil freedom.

Another big joke:  LTTE claims Tamils are oppressed in Sri Lanka,  however there are Tamils fighting against LTTE.

Big joke #4:  Claiming LTTE is the sole representative of Tamils after killing all Tamils against them.

Big joke #5:  Prabhakaran never used his children as child soldiers.  In fact, Prabha’s children have Sri Lankan and not Eelam passports to go abroad.

Let me know if you need more comedy material.

"RTQ": Read The Question

This is funny! Many want eelam but dont even know what it means. Many are against it and even they dont know what it is in order to know what will be lost or gained.

Now do you see the arguments about race and eelam does not make much sence to the common man but the subject is live mostly among ego centric maniac's.

This does mean that there are no greviences but it will never be solved until people stop looking at issues based on "we and them".

looks like sri lankans have given up haunting him..giving the responsibility of catching him to india...may be realising that it is not possible to beat him or catch him...

Prabaharan is not sadam hussain to show his teeth to the indian soldiers... india is trying for decades to beat him..using politico/military resources...

WWII holocastors are brought into justice even after 5 decades.
Saddam was hiding in a cave when he was caught. (So caves are not best place to hide)
Let's see who's laugh comes last.
